We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Database Administrator Intern with a passion for database technologies. The ideal candidate will be currently pursuing a degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field and have a strong interest in learning about Time-series Databases and database administration. This internship offers hands-on experience working with databases, including Timescale, PostgreSQL, and other Time-series Databases, under the guidance of experienced professionals.

Job responsibilities:
• Assist in the deployment and maintenance of Time-series Databases, including Timescale, PostgreSQL, and others
• Learn to configure database parameters to optimize performance, scalability, and reliability
• Gain experience in monitoring database performance and troubleshooting issues
• Assist in implementing database security measures to protect sensitive data
• Learn backup and recovery strategies to ensure data integrity and availability
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand data requirements and provide support as needed
• Stay updated with the latest database technologies and best practices
• Participate in training sessions and mentorship opportunities provided by experienced database administrators
Requirements:
• Currently pursuing a degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
• Strong interest in database technologies and database administration
• Basic understanding of SQL and database concepts
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
• Ability to work well both independently and as part of a team
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills
